A new ICO initiative for the 25/26 season, LEAD Circle brings together representatives from across our membership to help shape ICO programming while also providing professional growth opportunities. LEAD Circle is open to anyone from an active member organization who wants to engage in conversations, grow their skills, and expand their network. This group meets virtually on a quarterly basis and plays a key role in planning ICO conferences and events.

Qualifications of those serving in LEAD Circle:

  • Working for or associated with an ICO member organization in good standing. We ask that individuals without a member orchestra become individual members to the ICO. 
  • Willingness to attend and participate regularly in meetings and/or lead a committee
  • Attend ICO programs (virtually and/or in-person) regularly
  • No additional dues or fees required.
  • While there are no formal tenure limits we ask that the initial commitment is for 2 seasons and that a committee member identify their organization's replacement before departing the group.
  • Complete the brief 3 question application.

 

LEAD Circle’s Responsibilities:

  • Help plan and organize ICO Conference and Programs which includes:
        - Identify topics of interest, bring ideas to conversations
        - Secure panel participants 
        - Moderate or facilitate conversations as needed
  • Help lead virtual discussions
  • Plan in-person events or meet-ups
  • Work in partnership with various ICO Board committees
  • Share events with colleagues
